mY fAvoRite HOlidAy

It's almost Halloween again!! Time to break out the cobwebs and Mr. Bones, my handy dandy skeletal man.
Muahahaha.. (diabolical laughter)
I have always loved this holiday! I can literally scare the piss out of little children and not get in trouble. How could it get any better? Of course our house becomes very macabre during this time of year. I go batshit overboard with it until the neighbors start eyeballing us as "those
satan worshipers". Maybe it's because our next door neighbor is the only other family who decorates for the holiday, (if an inflatable the Winnie the Pooh holding a pumpkin counts as "decorating").

Does making little children cry make me feel exilerated?
Ummm..Duh
It's even funner than stealing their candy or stepping on their untied shoe laces.
..Of course I'll babysit your kids ;o

Whaaat?

Scaring the crap out of little kids is always fun.

Handing out candy and treats to all the little homeless kids isn't.

I hope that you're going to be giving out Candy Corn this year. Normally I hate the shit, but once or twice a year I have to have large quantities of it. Ya know, to keep the Candy Corn makers in business and stuff.

PS If you are giving out Candy Corn you can expect me to come to your door dressed both as a starfleet memeber (Kirk) and a Klingon.

Over here, Halloween is hardly bothered with ~ in fact it is viewed as a crass American holiday by some.
Personally, I'm all for celebrating solstices, harvests and lunar what-nots.
Any excuse for naked dancing in stone circles is OK with me.

al- well you know us crass americans. we're all about the tacky holidays! i think you would make a fine american. just as long as i get to switch places with you!! i'm sure i would blend like a black and decker.

Hardly anyone cares about Halloween over here.

I'm with Al about the dancing naked in stone circles... gotta love those feme-druids...

Why don't the Brits consider Guy Faulkes day a crass holiday? He tried to blow up parliament. Do that want an absolute monarch with real power of life and death that bad?

My friends all are Satan worshippers this time of year, so don't worry. Actually, someone always dresses as the dark one, or at least like the satanic priest in the Devil's Rejects. Never fails. We scare the crap out of the Denny's crowd after the party is over. Last year I walked in there with the honorary Satan, me dressed in my nicest corduroy suit with kashmir trench coat and werewolf mask. I was a sharply dressed mix of werewolf in london/big bad wolf, carrying a torn, red hoody pull over dragging behind me, a chinese menu, and a cup that said trader vic's. My hair was perfect...

I love halloween, I like to make up horror stories and see how many people I can scare senseless. When the kids come trick or treating I get the dogs to howl in the echoey
hallway.....boy can the kids round here run fast!

Halloween is officially the best holiday...in my opinion, anyway. ;-)

You look awesome in that picture!

Blanco's not kidding, the wee ones were too scared to come our door last Halloween. Their parents had to make them. Teenagers loved it though.

That's hilarious that the kids are frightened of your house. You'd fit in well up here, though. People tend to be really morbid in and around dying rustbelt cities like the D.

Except you'd hate it even more than Odessa. And the blizzards that can happen at any moment from October to May are deffinitely a turn off.

Hope everything's well, Blanco. The season change, coupled with the full moon can play havoc on one's health--on all levels.

cathy- too early???! hell no.
happy early anniversary. why didn't i get married on a cool holiday?

cat- oh i have to get 3d glasses!! that's awesome!
and no,i'm not awake yet..

eric- you know i don't fit in well here. i am used to the funny looks and whispers. if it gets too bad, i sidle up to them and ask them if they like blood. it usually gets rid of them..

ultra- thanks! i wish i could do it everyday. hmm.. maybe i should ;)

cat- nope, still not awake.

Just stumbled over to your site - glad that I did.

I do think, however that the action of taking candy from a small child illustrates the beauty of Halloween!
