Longest week ever..

My absence hasn't been deliberate, it has just been one of those weeks. Besides the stress of my Grandma, our little Nietzsche has fallen ill and has been in critical condition. The vet thinks he has some sort of immune disorder that is also causing jaundice, too much blood clotting, and internal bleeding. He is on IV's and has had one blood transfusion. So far he is doing better. He has perked up a little and seemed excited to see us yesterday. We even got some kisses which he hasn't given us since he has been feeling bad. If you know us, you know we are absolutely crazy about our pets. Please keep him in your prayers if your the praying sort. We can't bear to loose our wonder Chihuahua..

Best of love and luck to your Neitszche. Hope your grands is doing better, too.

Peace out

I have never heard of an immune disorder that causes internal bleeding... That sounds awful! Did they put him on steroids?

Please keep updating... My wife worked for an internal medicine veterinarian until just recently...
She's pretty smart about that suff.

transfusions and jaundice sound like liver problems, but I'm not smart enough to know whether an immune disorder can cause that.

I know how it feels to worry yourself sick over your pets.

Good luck!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and Nietzsche, as are those of Alex, the feline to whom I belong.

Aw you poor thing. Baddie and I just took my mum's dog back after she was staying with us for a few days while my mum was away... I miss her already! I know the amazing bond people have with their dogs. I'm thinking of you and your little darling!

Of course, I totally spelled transcend wrong... Friedrich Neitszche would spin a triple pike in his mausoleum.

Still sending the good thoughts.

Don't worry, Eric. You're only human, all too human. Sorry, couldn't resist.

It's all good--I guess it's not like a Neitzsche zombie will come to haunt me for it. One never knows in this season, though.

I'm just lucky I can spell his name right.

All the best for your little dog's full recovery I know what a desperately worrying time this must be for you.
Best wishes also for your Grandma, I don't know what the situation is there but I hope for the best.
Stay strong Blanco!
