It was getting stormy a few days ago around Detroit, but that's over with. Everyone here sneaks their neighbors hoses to water their sod at night. People who care about such things, anyway.
In the city istelf, god or fire hydrant--that's it for watering lawns and people. It's hillarious to see kids running into the streams on purpose and rolling on the wet ashphault puddles like it's a rough version of a slipnslide.
We make hockey rinks this way in the winter, too. In the city and in the burbs alike. Nothimg better to do but fuck up the citys emergency water system by turning it on when it's thirt below zero.
That's what taxes are supposed to take care of. Yay for the gov't mule.
yeah. bull going on here, that's about it, as you can tell. latter.
eric- i had no idea it was like that there. i knew it got cold, but i didn't know if there were any yards innercity or not. sounds like a hectic place to live in.
pissy- i am sure they will be quite glad to see you too!
It's been biblical over here in the UK. There are floods everywhere -http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6911226.stm luckily not near me though. I live on the North West coast, literally 2 minutes from the beach but there are no rivers to burst their banks nearby. Phew.
My kittys are pretty smart too. If I throw balls, they run after them and bring them back to me. They let me know if there is something amiss (like a spider being in the room etc) too. And although they are very independent sometimes, when it's tickling time they love nothing more than being all floppy and dopey and lying across my legs. =D
al- that is too cute. it's been awhile since i have had a cat, but when i was a kid i had one that liked to ride in the laundry basket. no, really he liked being spun around like a carnival ride. people thought i was mean, but he always jumped in there to do it. he was a bit of a risk taker. i miss that damn cat :(
jay- no they suck very little
macguffin- i guess that's why you endure my sickening displays of affection with her. she is my special six toed mutant baby!
mike- yeah. we spoil them more than the children. at least the dogs don't pee on the rug
eric- no thanks necessary. your poetry speaks for itself. that made no sense, but neither do my shoes, so were even.

Dog are great. Well, most of the time. I don't know your dogs. Your dogs may suck. But, usually dogs are great. ;-)
I like the last one best. Sadie is just too damn cute.
Great pictures. The cuttie actually looks like he is smiling. That is a happy dog!!
thanks for the word, Blancodeviosa. About the awards, of course! At Myutopia's. It's cool to know everyone I've met.
Talk to you later
