She was all things mysterious and beautiful

Brownies

1st Poloroid made

This one reminds me of a spy camera

1900's accordian style

These are a few of the cameras I have picked up during our travels. They remind me of simpler times. I often wonder who had them, where they have been and what memories they've captured..

Those cameras are very cool.

Do you have a big collection of old cameras?

I can imagine people dressed in their Sunday best posing patiently while their photograph was taken.

Those old cameras immediately make me think of faeries being captured on film too.

Thanks!

beautiful cameras!! it appears that your collection has grown since the last time we met. that is one helluva set. marvelous!!

they do conjure up images of a bygone era, huh? simpler times, history in the making, elicit photos, the folks they might have captured in their lens. sorry i dron on and i just reiderated everything you said...can't help it sometimes...mind wanders...fingers still type...great work!!

The dog looks like he was almost gagging on that ball. Wow.

The camera collection is sweet. If you thought about each picture, you could get a book of poetry--in theory. I love writing to a good picture. Or a bad one. Then I have an excuse if the poem or prose sucks.

The best thing about those old cameras is that they take beautiful pictures. The larger the negative, the sharper the picture ... of course now-a-days with digital cameras, some of the art has been taken out of photography ... it is getting harder and harder to take a bad pic.

Cool cameras. Do they still work?

Love the daily photo

It reminds me of the stories my ex told of living with her old ex. She would always anthropomorph herself as a caged bird, pulling at every bar, trying to escape. She was a sad lady. Oddly, I miss that saddness.

Your's looks happy, though. My sis has lots of birds, and you can tell by the look in their feathered face how well they are living.

I had no idea you collected these.
There's room for another collector in the family?
